CONGRATULATIONS LEO ALVIN CHONG!!!!Leo Alvin Chong, Champion of District Leo Idol 2008, is now one step closer to his dreams!!! After 30 hours waiting in line for the auditions of Astro Talent Quest this year... he finally made it to the Top 20 for this year's famed competition!!!!!! "Enduring the gruesome comments and 'advices' given by the judges was actually no big deal for me as I have had plenty of that during the Leo idol competition last year!" Alvin joked! He added that the Leo Idol Competition gave him the basic foundations of joining this popular reality TV based competition! "I would like to thank all those @ the Leo Forum last year who supported me.. as well as trainers, organizers and everyone! Reaching this step is just the beginning. I promise to work harder now and hope that I will be able to make it t the Top 10!!!"
Well, true enough...this is not over yet! He will attend more vocal lessons, photo shoots, grooming classes etc etc... following the footsteps of Nicholas Teo, Eric Lim etc etc....If he's good enough... Alvin will proceed to the Top 10 Semi-finals!!!!!
Leo Alvin, formerly from Leo Club of Chung Ling High School, managed to grab only 2nd placing at the 2008 Penang Regional Finals held @ Gurney Plaza. Well, luck, was really on his side, when he was announced as one of the Wild Card entries for the competition. Given this second chance in life, Alvin trained even harder. In a surprise twist of fate... he bagged the District LEO Idol Champion held in-conjunction with the Fellowship Nite of the Leo Forum last year!
