LEO IDOL 2009 Region 4 Finals!!!

Well, after the 40-odd auditions of Leo Idol Region 4 held a day earlier, 10 were selected to proceed to the Regional Finals (Selangor) @ the Summit Auditorium USJ. Lots of family members and Leos + friends attended the event to give support to the Regional Finalists and loads of crowd cheering and "boo judges!!!!" moments too.. ala-ala Malaysian Idol moments?!! hahaha... Leos from all over the region (4) came to support their respective clubs. Guests included Leos from Anderson School Ipoh (Region 3). Lions who attended the event included Lion Shirley (National Kidney Foundation) & RCC Leos Region 4, Lion Chan Kee Oi to name a few.

Leos were given a taste of what's it like to be in a "reality-ish" singing competition just like those that one sees on TV (i.e. Malaysian Idol, AF, One in a Million, DiGi CelebriTeen etc etc)...Yup.. the highly adrenalin-rushed experience may be pumped up with the comments coming from judges - myself (Ln Alan Thoo), Lion Jolene, Aesar Mustafa (Recording artiste from Gangstarz Season 2) & Leo Zenny Lyn (DiGi CelebriTeen 2007 Central Region Champion)... but at the end of the day, L.E.O stands for Leadership Experience & Opportunity! Hence, the E & O provided throughout the Leo Idol competition does provide Leos with a great journey of hope searching, dreams squashing and proud/embarassing moments that they will cherish (?) for a long time to come aye?

After a powerful showcase of talents on stage for all 10 of the finalists...actually only 9 as one practically made a big joke out of the Leo Idol competition... we came down to 2 finalist.... Leo Christopher Saw (SMK Taman Sea) & Leo Michelle Too (SMK USJ 8).

The two of them have to perform for another song in Round 2 and this time round, it was voting & judges decision that determine who gets to go to the Leo Forum for FREE.. and who gets to represent the Region!
